ABOUT BRIGHTON ::
If you are checking out this website for accommodation in
Brighton, chances are you could already know what the town
has to offer. And if you don't, we'll be happy to share
what we know with you when you come and stay with us. The
UK's top seaside resort, Brighton has been the place to
soak up the sun for many decades, and is still up there
at number one.
Brighton Pier is still going strong, the Royal
Pavilion is as attractive as ever, and the new Brighton
Marina development goes from strength to strength. Trendy
bars and top class restaurants are springing up all over
town, and the superb nightlife caters for all tastes. The
wealth of shopping opportunities in The Lanes and North
Laine (only 5-10 minutes away) is guaranteed to challenge
your credit card, but there are plenty of bargains to be
discovered. What are you waiting for? Come stay at Colson
House Hotel and enjoy all that Brighton has to offer.
Getting to Brighton
The railway links are good, with fast trains running regularly
from London every half hour. (Takes around an hour). A coastal
route serves the south coast. We are about a 20 minute walk
from the station, or a cab costs around £4. By car,
the M23 is a fast link from Brighton to the M25, but be
warned parking is no longer free in the town. (Ask us for
special Hotel Guest vouchers which allow parking near the guest house for £5 per 24 hours).
There is a coach service from Heathrow and Gatwick airports
and Gatwick is well served by trains. From Stansted you're
better off taking trains via London as the coach takes a
long time.
